I worked as the Technical Writer and User Experience Consultant during the development of new Safariland Web site. During the planning phase of the project, I worked with the client and development team to determine the best way to communicate to user's their consolidation of sister brands into the Safariland brand.
The client's goal during this brand consolidation was to maintain brand loyalty from their audience while informing them of the change but without causing confusion.
We decided upon an overlay on all the sister Web site's announcing the news. User's were directed to watch the Web host video explaining the brand consolidation and proceed to the Safariland Web site explaining the brand consolidation.On all of their sister sites,
I compiled the site map, authored the functional project plan, as well as provided usability and functionality recommendations.
